MPL Research Positions 2023

The Population and Place Research Lab is looking to add 2 to 4 MPL students. There are four distinct positions available. Application deadline is 5pm Tuesday October 3, 2023.

POSITIONS

Aging People Aging Places Graduate Research Fellow
Co-design and co-lead qualitative narrative analysis of older adult stories
Part of larger team with HAP Lab at TMU
$5,000 for Winter 2024 term, possibility of future funding

Aging Playfully Graduate Research Fellow
Contribute to research design and data collection, lead analysis
Work closely with Aging Playfully team
Help facilitate research partnership with IPA Brasil
Complete fieldwork in Sao Paulo, Brazil (at least one trip)
$5,000 for Winter 2024 term, possibility of future funding

iNIMBY Graduate Research Fellow
Co-design and co-lead examination of artificial intelligence, social media bots, and participatory planning
Part of larger team with Urban Attitudes Lab at Tufts University + Cardiff University
~$4,000 for Winter 2024 term

Open/shrinking cities projects
Design and lead innovative shrinking cities related project
Work closely with director and PhD student Rachel Barber
Compensation to be determined
Lots of opportunity for publication
