Pop Place Members Present at AESOP

Pop Place Director Maxwell Hartt and member Rachel Barber travelled to Paris, France to attend the Association of European Schools of Planning conference.

Dr. Hartt led a roundtable marking the 20th anniversary of the Shrinking Cities International Research Network (SCIRN).

Rachel, along with EHESS PhD Candidate Anton Paumelle, presented a study entitled “Aging amongst shrinkage: Examining age-friendly policy in French and Canadian shrinking cities”. This study was co-authored by Dr. Hartt and affiliated researcher Beatriz Fernandez (EHESS).

Dr. Fernandez also presented findings from her study of population shrinkage and aging in Paris, France, and Madrid, Spain.
